Something different

New mediums always scare me, o ye of little faith.
Branching out from styles I know and enjoy just doesn't come easy, but in the end, no matter the result, it is always somewhat rewarding.
Below are a few more recent endeavours, including Polymer clay, Gouache, Watercolour and an Old faithful multitude of pens.

Off to a new home

Here's a few off the pieces that were purchased at my exhibition last December. I'd upload a few more if only the scanning/upload process didn't take so damn long
Thanks to those who came and an even bigger thank you to those who purchased some work. I was overjoyed as to the success of the opening night and the exhibition as a whole.
People make the world go round.

Chronic pain

This last 18 months has been a treacherous journey and I sympathise deeply with anyone who has or is experiencing a long term injury or illness. It damn certain isn't easy.
I've felt death lingering on my shoulder and seen glimmers of hope, but in the end it's a game of patience and perseverance.
Good luck to all alive, stay out of hospital and get off the pain killers.

Mike Read

A whiles back I made a few things for a photographer, who is at current up to some really interesting projects.
Go check his website and support the man on his endeavours to show the world for what it is.
Top work Mike.

Anchor BMX

One of my long-term projects has been helping the good fellas out down at Anchor BMX in Collingwood, Melbourne.
Here's a handful of things I've designed and had the good fortune of seeing a finished product in store and more rewardingly on peoples bikes and backs.

Hand drawn type is a prick

Here are the four variants of the poster I drew up for War on Civilians.
The type took far longer than anticipated to get done, far, far longer.

War on Civilians EP - Lazarus & DaVinci

4 Track EP myself and DaVinci (Leo Burton) put together in a short stint last year. I think from initial conception to CD was all of about 4 or 5 months.
Have a listen at https://LazarusAcres.bandcamp.com and hard copies are available for $5 via Email
Much thanks to Leo for the hard work producing and schooling me on how to get from paper to CD.

I Already Hate You

This is the first BallPointBlack book, of which I hope many will follow.
A5, 32 Pages, Full colour, Saddle stitched. This little guy is full of about as much cynicism and the weird as I could possibly cram in, all for a measly $20 or a crisp lobster.
Currently only available by shooting me an email, but soon to be elsewhere.

Somebody press Restart - this shit is broken

Hello People of the digital world. It's nice to see some people are still checking in. About time I rebooted this blog, in conjunction with a new BandCamp page and other new Interweb things to come.
Here's a few photos from my Solo show, late last year. Thanks to Dale Nason for being the Cameraman.
